Counsellor/Clinical Supervisor

Whitevalley Community Resource Centre requires a part time (20-30 hours per week) Counsellor/Clinical Supervisor to provide counselling staff supervision; bio-psycho-social assessments; create treatment plans; therapeutic interventions, and other required duties that provides direct support and crisis intervention to children, families and individuals living in the Lumby, Cherryville and surrounding area.

Applicants should have experience working with adults, families and children as well as B.S.W. with a minimum of 3-5 years counselling experience or a MSW.

Whitevalley Community Resource Centre requires Children’s Programs Coordinator 7 to 10 hours per week. This position is based out of Cherryville Elementary School.
Qualifications:
• Experience and training working with children ages 5 through 12
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• ECE and/or 500 hours of related experience or training
• First Aid Certification and Criminal Record Check
• Responsible, self-motivated, reliable and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure supervision of children (ages 5-12) attending the program.
• Promote program (newsletters, posters, presentations)
• Orientation, supervision and evaluation of staff and volunteers.
• Encourage participation of those attending, supporting younger/more reserved children.
• Scheduling staff and volunteers.
• Liaise with school personnel and WCRC staff, supporting socially challenged children.
• Document program statistics, evaluate and make recommendations
• Complete a year-end report
• Monitor budget and manage petty cash
